LIVING & LEARNING WITH COVID19 AND BEYOND
Dear Students and Staff of UoC
We are now in tenth week of coping with the threat of COVID19 in Sri Lanka. This has been the most challenging time for all of us. We are relieved that so far we have not had any of our members afflicted by the disease. Our administration is most grateful for your support and cooperation in ensuring the best of health and safety to function as one University Community.
Our students left their hostels as requested on 14th March 2020. However, we never “shut down” in terms of teaching-learning. Shifting on-site education to the on-line mode was the most pragmatic approach. We are most grateful to our Network Operating Centre that was well supported by the UGC, LEARN and our own UCSC to enable the UoC to remain focussed for the betterment of our students.
Student Counsellors also worked around the clock to remain in contact with you.
It is an inevitable fact that the global threat of SARS-CoV2 will remain with us for quite some time.
Let us view this problem as a challenge that we can easily overcome.
Many committed groups of academics and administrators have provided you with useful tools and support on this webpage.
