UOC Legal Expert and Scientist at COP 27 in Egypt

Prof. Kokila Konasinghe, Professor in Law at the Department of Public and International Law, Faculty of Law and Dr Iroja Caldera, Department of Plant Sciences, Faculty of Science attended the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt. They are members of the Commonwealth Futures Climate Research Cohort, a group of 26 researchers selected from across the world and the cohort’s participation at COP27 was funded through the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Prof. Konasinghe and Dr Caldera also had the opportunity to be a part of the official Sri Lankan delegation to the COP27 through the Ministry of Environment.
