Dengue Free Environment of the UOC: "Shramadana" campaign

The University of Colombo took a proactive step towards preventing dengue by organizing a “Shramadana” campaign on May 23, 2023. This campaign aimed to create a dengue-free environment within the university premises, including the College House, Sri Palee Campus, Faculties, Institutes, and the UCSC. Under the theme of “Dengue Free Environment of the UOC” the campaign united employees from all sectors of the university community. The campaign commenced at 8:30 AM and participants engaged in various activities focused on preventing dengue, such as cleaning stagnant water, eliminating potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes, and raising awareness about dengue prevention measures.
