Student of the Year - General Convocation 2023

Congratulations to Ms Dilani Perera from the Faculty of Management and Finance for her exceptional achievement in being awarded the Open Awards – Student of the Year at the General Convocation 2023.

Ms Perera has excelled academically, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with First Class Honors in Finance. She has also represented Sri Lanka in Netball, captaining the team at Junior levels.
In addition, She was awarded with SLUSA colors for Netball and Tennis and University colors in 4 sports; Netball, Tennis, Table Tennis, and Swimming. Her exceptional contributions across multiple sports earned her the prestigious ‘Professor Stanley Wijesundara Memorial Trophy’ for the sportswoman with the most number of colours for two consecutive years and was named the ‘Best Player of the Year’ for both Netball and Tennis.
Furthermore, she served as the vice president of the Amalgamated Club, captain of the Netball team, Assistant Treasurer of the Catholic Students Movement, and the initiating student founder of the Faculty of Management and Finance Sports Association.
