Sarasavi Uyana ‘සරසවි උයන’ 2023

The musical concert Sarasavi Uyana ‘සරසවි උයන’ was held on March 29^th, 2023 at the New Arts Theatre. It was organized jointly by Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation’s Swadeshiya Service, Darley Butler & Co. Ltd, Alumni Organization, and the Arts Council, under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne. The concert was well-attended and featured several delightful songs written by notable individuals such as Mr Wasantha Kumara Kobawaka, Mr Dhammika Bandara, Professor Samantha Herath, Mr Dhamma Dissanayake, Mr Swarna Gunawardena, Mr Rajee Wasantha Welgama, Mr Kumara Liyanage, and Mr Upul Shantha Sannasgala. The lyrics were beautifully sung by a talented group of performers, including Ms Indika Upamali, Mr Mihindu Ariyaratne, Mr Dhumal Warnakulasuriya, Ms Midori Karunaratne, Mr Miyura Somaratne, and Ms Aksha Kulatunga.
