UOC signs an MOU with the Shankarrao Chavan Law College

Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, India, and the University of Colombo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark the beginning of a new chapter in academic partnership. The MoU was signed on March 17, 2023, at the College House by Senior Professor (Chair) HD Karunaratne, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, and Dr Kranti Devidas Deshmukh, the Principal of the Shankarrao Chavan Law College.
Dr Sourabh Vasant Ubale, International Relations Officer, Dr Ashwini Vinod Ingole and Dr Bhagwan Ramchandra Gawali represented the Shankarrao Chavan Law College, while the University of Colombo was represented by Professor NS Punchihewa, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr Udapadie Liyanage, Head of the Department of Private and Comparative Law, Professor Kokila Konasinghe, the acting Head of the Department of Public and International Law and Dr Sharmila Dawood, the acting Head of Department of Commercial Law.
The collaboration between the two institutions aims to explore joint teaching and learning opportunities and conduct research in the field of law.
