Let’s Make Our University Greener – Awareness Program
CEI marked a triumphant milestone on World Environment Day 2023 by hosting an impactful Awareness Program – LET’s MAKE OUR UNIVERSITY GREENER aimed at fostering a greener university community. The event was held on June 5th, 2023, and received insightful contributions from Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne, Dr Randika Jayasinghe, and Professor E.Y.K. Lokupitiya who served as the resource persons. The discussions revolved around pivotal environmental topics such as waste upcycling, the challenge of food plastics, efficient waste segregation, and innovative strategies to tackle polythene and plastic issues. In line with this year’s overarching theme – ‘Solutions for Plastic Pollution’. CEI extends heartfelt appreciation to all contributors – attendees, speakers, and organizers – for making this Awareness Program a remarkable success. Together we can shape a better future for generations to come.
