FIM Welcomes 147 New Students to BAMS and BUMS Degree Programs

The Orientation program for new entrants of the Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) degree programs for the Advanced Level 2022 batch was inaugurated on March 28, 2024, at the main auditorium of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine. This year, 114 students were registered for the BAMS program and 33 students for the BUMS program, respectively. The event was attended by Senior Professor (Chair) H D Karunaratne, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Pathirage Kamal Perera, the Dean of the Faculty, the acting registrar, the senior student counsellor, heads of departments, and all other staff members.
