CNN's Call to Earth Day 2021 – Contribution from University of Colombo

Humans have been befouling the heaven of life, Mother Earth, through their greedy and short-sighted deeds. The Earth is now in a critical stage where we need to reverse our actions to help her heal herself to bounce back to healthier shapes. Even though the mission to protect and restore the environment demands support at every level of society, it is undeniable that individual endeavours pave the way to a flourishing collective output. As an exemplary educational institution, the University of Colombo (UoC) joined hands with the first-ever CNN’s Call to Earth Day celebrations, sharing its genuine intention and progress towards environmental conservation and sustainability.
