University of Colombo Retains Top Position Among Sri Lankan Universities in Asia Rankings 2026
The Times Higher Education (THE) has released its Asia University Rankings for 2026, featuring 929 universities from 36 countries and territories across the region. The rankings evaluate institutions based on key performance areas, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook, using a comprehensive methodology built on 18 performance indicators.
The University of Colombo has retained its top position as the leading university among Sri Lankan higher education institutions. This achievement reflects the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and global engagement.
