Annual Research Symposium 2015 – Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law successfully organised its Annual Research Symposium – 2015 under the theme of “University as Catalyst for Change” which was held on 5th of December 2015. The Departments of Commercial Law, Public and International Law and Private and Comparative Law conducted concurrent technical sessions which brought in various research papers on emerging issues focusing on local and international laws. Padmeshree Professor N.R Madhava Menon graced the occasion by delivering the keynote speech on Social Context Study of Law for Social Justice Lawyering & Adjudication. The Dean of the Faculty and the Vice Chancellor also addressed the gathering. Mr V.T Thamilmaran former Dean, Senior Lecturer, at the Department of Public and International Law chaired the Research Symposium 2015. This year’s symposium attracted more participants from graduates and undergraduate and postgraduate students. Many thought-provoking aspects were addressed and the faculty is confident that such issues will be of use to the legal professional and the community as well.
