Career Guidance Unit Hosts Short Film Competition & Awarding Ceremony
The Awarding Ceremony of the Short Film Competition, organised by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU), was held on 13th March 2026 at the Senate Hall, College House. The event showcased the creativity and talent of students, with a total of nine short films presented by participants representing various faculties.
The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine secured First Place for their outstanding production. The Second Place was awarded to the Faculty of Technology, while the Faculty of Nursing achieved Third Place. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit, Professor D L P M Rathnasingha, along with staff members and student awardees representing their respective faculties.
