Annual Research Symposium 2023 – Sri Palee Campus
The Annual Research Symposium (ARS) of Sri Palee Campus was held under the theme “Excellence in Research in Media and Creative Arts” on the 20th of November 2023 at the Mini Theatre, Sri Palee Campus. The chief guest was the Vice Chancellor, Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne, and the Guest of Honor was the Rector of Sri Palee Campus, Dr Prathibha Mahanamahewa. Professor Christoph Schmidt, the Head of International Media Studies at Deutsche Welle Academic, Germany, served as the keynote speaker, enlightening the symposium. The plenary speech was delivered by Professor Zhang Yanqiu from the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF) at the Communication University of China, sharing her expertise and knowledge with the audience. The Symposium was held under the chairmanship of Mrs. Kalani Dharmasiri, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Media, and it was in a hybrid mode with the active participation of all the academics at Sri Palee Campus.
