Annual Research Session 2022 | Department of Sinhala
The 11th Annual Research Symposium on Sinhala Studies organized by the Department of Sinhala was held on 22nd September 2022 at the New Arts Theatre (NAT) with the presence of the Vice Chancellor Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne and other invitees, scholars, and students. This year’s symposium was held under the theme of Critical Discourses on Sinhala language and literature. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Sarath Wijesooriya, Department of Sinhala. This annual symposium provides a forum for students and scholars in the field of Sinhala studies to disseminate their research findings to a wider audience. In connection with this event, a book exhibition and sale was held on the Faculty premises from 20th – 22nd September 2022.
