SIPCA Sri Lanka Uptake Forum I 2025: Scaling the Impact of a Play-Based Child-to-Child Approach

The SIPCA Sri Lanka Uptake Forum I was held on 29th September 2025 at the Faculty of Education. The event brought together academics, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss the progress and future directions of the Scaling the Impact of a Play-Based Child-to-Child Approach (SIPCA) project. Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr Upali M. Sedere, Rector and CEO of SIBA Campus, delivered the keynote address, emphasising the importance of play-based learning and collaborative educational innovations.
The forum was enriched by the participation of delegates from the Maldives and Pakistan, alongside officials representing various government bodies in Sri Lanka. The event fostered meaningful dialogue, the sharing of regional experiences, and strengthened partnerships toward advancing the SIPCA initiative in South Asia.
