Students – Staff interaction through Sports and Culture
The Faculty of Arts is the largest faculty of the University of Colombo, with 139 academic staff and 2578 students from 1st to 4th year. This event is designed to provide an opportunity in the largest faculty of the University of Colombo to come together in an informal atmosphere. This will, it is hoped, enhance group cohesion and build friendships. A festival of sports in order to build closer relations among students from different years and different ethno-religious groups and the faculty was held on 16th July at the University grounds.
In addition to that, Faculty of Arts organized a cultural performance festival “Divyaradhana” , aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and camaraderie among the student community of the University, strengthening meaningful relations between lecturers and students and improving the aesthetic sense and creativity of undergraduates. This cultural festival was held on 17th of July 2015 at the New Arts Theatre, University of Colombo.
