Seven Young Scientists from IBMBB attend Regional Conference on Nanotechnology and Nanoscience
The Regional Conference of Young Scientists on Nanoscience and Nanomaterials 2015, held in Bangalore India was organized by the Regional Offices for Central and South Asia of The Third World Academy of Science (TWAS) for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries, based in Trieste, Italy. Seven researchers from IBMBB working on the fields of developmental biology, cancer, cloning, immunology and molecular medicine attended the conference. They participated under the guidance and leadership of Emeritus Prof. Eric H. Karunanayake, Founder Director of the IBMBB and Regional Fellow of TWAS, who is also credited as being a pioneering scientist in introducing molecular biology to the Sri Lankan science sphere.
