Seminar on “Participatory Theatre for Reconciliation in Post-war Sri Lanka”

The Department of Sociology organized the monthly seminar for the month of July, on  23rd July 2018 (Monday) from 10.30 a.m. – 12.00 noon. in the Seminar Room of the Department of Sociology.  At this seminar, Ms. Mandy Koenraads, was delivered the lecture on “Participatory Theatre for Reconciliation in Post-war Sri Lanka”.

Mandy Koenraads has completed a postgraduate MSc (Research) in International Development Studies (with a specialization in Education) from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Prior to her Master’s degree in research, Ms Koenraads completed an undergraduate BSc (Honours) in Public Administration from the University of Leiden, Netherlands. Throughout her academic career, Ms Koenraads has travelled extensively to benefit from international education. She followed an exchange programme in South Africa, and has conducted independent research in Sri Lanka. Ms Koenraads’ Master’s degree research findings were presented at an international conference at the University College of London in June 2018. Alongside her Masters degree, Ms Koenraads has worked as a Professor Assistant within the department of Social Geographic and Planning at the University of Amsterdam.
