The launching ceremony of the Sarasa Journal, Department of Sinhala
The launching ceremony of the ‘Sarasa’ Journal of the Department of Sinhala was held on 8th June 2022 at the M.B. Ariyapala Auditorium, Faculty of Arts. The Vice Chancellor Senior Professor (Chair) H. D. Karunaratne graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu, The Dean/Faculty of Arts, Senior Professor Sandagomi Coperahewa, The Head/Department of Sinhala and other Heads of Departments in the Faculty of Arts, academics of the Department of Sinhala participated at the event. The Sarasa journal contains scholarly articles written by the academics of the Departments of Sinhala in the area of Sinhala language, linguistics, literature, drama, and culture. The editors of the journal are Dr. Premasiri Nagsinghe, Mr. Osanda Gunartne and Raveen Kodagoda.
