Graduation Ceremony – 16th Batch of Diploma in Travel & Tourism Economics and Hotel Management
The University of Colombo proudly celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the 16th Batch (2023) of the Diploma in Travel & Tourism Economics and Hotel Management (DTTEHM) on 19th June 2025 at the New Art Theatre (NAT). The event was graced by Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University, who attended as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were: Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Mrs K C Sanjeewani Perera, Registrar of the University, Professor Chandana Aluthge, Head, Department of Economic Development, Professor D A C Suranga Silva, Founder, Sustainable Tourism Unit, Ms Chathurika Hansamali, Course Coordinator of the program and Staff members of the Faculty.
The Vice Chancellor officially declared the ceremony open, followed by the awarding of certificates and recognition of achievements to the 21 graduates of the program. The ceremony commenced with a traditional cultural dance performance, offering a vibrant and warm welcome to the distinguished guests.
