The Genomic Medicine Foundation, United Kingdom to collaborate with University of Colombo

Professor Dhavendra Kumar; Medical Director and CEO of The Genomic Medicine Foundation Ltd., United Kingdom visited University of Colombo on 24.02.2020 and met Senior Professor Chandrika N Wijeyaratne, the Vice-Chancellor. The Genomic Medicine Foundation Ltd. is a non-profit corporate organization affiliated to University of Cardiff and London School of Medicine, United Kingdom. Professor Kumar shared the information their ongoing collaborative work and expressed their willingness to partner with University of Colombo. Bothe Professor Wijeyaratne and Professor Kumar further discussed the potential avenues of cooperation between the two institutions. Professor Dhavendra Kumar is a Consultant in Clinical Genetics, Institute of Medical Genetics, University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff University School of Medicine, UK and a Visiting Professor, Genomic Policy Unit, Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, the University of South Wales.
