Delegation from Southwest Minzu University
A delegation led by Professor Deng Kangyun; Dean School of Pharmacy, Southwest Minzu University, China visited University of Colombo on 16th December 2019. Professor Deng was accompanied by Professor Du Wenzhong; Dean School of Law, Professor LIU YONG; Dean School of Tibetology, Professor Gong Min; Dean, School of Literature and Journalism, Ms. Zhi Lingyan; Division of International Cooperation and Exchange. Senior Professor Chandrika N Wijeyaratne, Vice-Chancellor, University of Colombo welcomed the delegation and envisaged the possible avenues of cooperation between the two universities, after briefing the delegation on the University of Colombo. Following the discussion with the Vice-Chancellor, the delegation further discussed with their counter part Deans and faculty who were present at the meting representing the University of Colombo. Professor Jennifer Perera; Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Senior Professor Premakumara de Silva, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Professor Samantha Herath; Head, Journalism Unit, Dr. Udapadi Liyanage; Head, Department of Private and Comparative Law, Dr. Nirmalie Wijegunawardene; Senior Lecturer, Department of History, Dr. Dhanusha Thambavita; Lecturer, Department of Pharmacology and Dr. Vipula Bataduwaarachchi; Lecturer, Department of Pharmacology accompanied the Vice-Chancellor at the meeting. The meeting was organized by the International Office of University of Colombo.
