Commencement of Duties for the Year 2021

University of Colombo ceremonially commenced duties in the New Year on 01^st January, with a special function at the College house premises. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chandrika Wijeyaratne, Deans, Directors and some key Academic and Administrative officers of the university . The function commenced with the hoisting of the National and University flags by the Vice Chancellor and Registrar, followed by the signing of the National Anthem. This was followed by the reading of the public servants’ oath by the Registrar. The function adhered to Covid19 guidelines with limited on site participation. FOSMedia and NOC ensured virtual participation of the university community.
