Capacity Development Series of Workshops on University Administrative & Financial Procedures and Communication Skills – HRDC

The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) conducted a Capacity Development Series of Workshops from July 11 to August 15, 2025, aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of administrative and non-academic staff across the university system. A total of thirteen (13) workshops were held under this initiative, focusing on key areas of university administration, financial management, governance, and communication skills. The sessions provided participants with practical insights and best practices essential for strengthening institutional efficiency and service delivery within higher education institutions.

  • Academic HR Excellence: Recruitment, Promotions, Leave & Bond Management in Higher Education
  • Enhancing Non-Academic Staff Management through Policy & Practice
  • Strengthening Financial Governance: Procurement, Reporting & Asset Management in Universities
  • Disciplinary Procedures, Political Rights, and Statutory Obligations in Higher Education Institutions
  • Audit Procedures in Higher Education Institutions
  • Strengthening Institutional Control on Assets and Student Affairs
  • Understanding the University Act, University System, and Administrative Framework

In addition to the above, the programme included six English language sessions focusing on University Administrative English Practices and Communication Skills, designed to strengthen the communication and documentation abilities of university staff.
