Workshop Series on "Balancing Dual Paths: Managing Your Research Journey and Facilitating Others"

The Staff Development Centre (SDC) conducted a two-day workshop series titled “Balancing Dual Paths: Managing Your Research Journey and Facilitating Others” on 08 and 20 January 2026 for academic staff members. The workshop was designed to provide academic staff with practical knowledge, strategies, and insights to effectively manage their own research journeys while fulfilling supervisory and evaluative responsibilities. Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining research momentum, developing constructive professional relationships with supervisors and students, and contributing to high-quality scholarly outputs.
Professor Tharusha N. Gooneratne and Professor Arosha S. Adikaram of the Faculty of Management and Finance conducted the sessions under the supervision of Professor SP Premaratna, the Director of the SDC, with coordination by Dr GRP Silva.
