Golden Jubilee of the Faculty of Education: Fifty Years of Excellence in Teacher Professionalism

The Faculty of Education celebrates its Golden Jubilee in 2025, marking 50 years of excellence in fostering teacher professionalism and shaping the future of education in Sri Lanka. To kick off this historic year, a multi-religious blessing ceremony was held on 1st January 2025 at the Faculty. The ceremony was presided over by Senior Professor (Chair) H D Karunaratne, the Vice Chancellor of the University. This momentous occasion was just the beginning of a yearlong celebration, with an exciting calendar of events planned throughout 2025.
