“Learn, Practice, and Apply Job-Ready Skills” Workshops by HRDC

The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) successfully conducted two workshops under the theme “Learn, Practice, and Apply Job-Ready Skills,” focusing on enhancing the use of Google Apps (G Apps) to improve productivity and efficiency in both academic and non-academic roles. The Academic Staff Workshop was held on 30th September 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in Board Room II, Faculty of Graduate Studies. The Non-Academic Staff Workshop took place on 10th October 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the Ariyapala Auditorium, Sinhala Department, Faculty of Arts.

Dr Rasika Dayaratna, a Senior Lecturer at UCSC and an expert in digital tools for education and work, led both sessions. The workshops highlighted the importance of digital literacy in today’s workplace and demonstrated how mastering Google Apps can significantly enhance individual and team performance.
