73 Candidates Shine at the 8th Diploma Awarding Ceremony for the Diploma in Death Investigation
The 8th Diploma Awarding Ceremony for the Diploma in Death Investigation took place on August 19, 2023, at the University of Colombo Faculty of Medicine Tower (UCFM Tower). This diploma program is offered by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology within the Faculty of Medicine. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Vidya Jothi Vajira HW Dissanayake, former Course Coordinator Professor Jean Perera, Course Coordinator Dr Ravindra Samaranayake, Deputy Course Coordinator Professor Asela Mendis, and other esteemed invitees.
During the ceremony, a total of 73 diplomas were awarded, with the majority going to recipients from the Department of Police. The success of this award ceremony was made possible by the collaborative efforts and contributions of all categories of staff within the department.
