17 undergraduates of University of Colombo receive Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship

Under the MoU signed between University of Colombo and Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation, 17 scholarships (an allowance of 300 USD per student) of 5100 USD were awarded to selected 17 undergraduate students of University of Colombo by Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation based on the academic merits of the students.

The scholarship awarding ceremony will be held on Tuesday, 19th September 2017 at FGS Auditorium, College House with the participation of Mr. Shigemitsu Miki; Chairman of Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation, H.E. Mr. Kenichi Suganuma; the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, Mr. Ryoichi Shinke; CEO, the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and Professor Lakshman Dissanayake , Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo as the distinguished guests.

Mr. Shigemitsu Miki and Professor Lakshman Dissanayake , Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo handed over the certificates and the cheque to the students.

Marking the occasion Mr. Shigemitsu Miki; Chairman of Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation set out a Kora Kaha plant in the college House premises.

Deans of the Faculties, Senior Academic and Administrative staff of University of Colombo and the delegates from Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ graced the event.

The event was organized by the International Office of University of Colombo and Faculty of Management and Finance  in collaboration with Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Colombo.
