Workshop on “Salient Changes to Government Procurement Guidelines and Manual 2024” – HRDC
The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) organized a “Salient Changes to Government Procurement Guidelines and Manual 2024” workshop on 10th March 2025 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Auditorium. Over 300 participants attended the session, including members from the University of Colombo and professionals from government and private sector institutions. Procurement officers and related personnel actively participated in the engaging discussions. The workshop was conducted by Mr Ivan Tissera, a Commission Member of the National Procurement Commission (NPC), Lead Resource Person for the MSc in Public Procurement at the Open University, and a Procurement Capacity Building Expert at the National Audit Office (NAO). His expertise provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the latest changes in procurement regulations and best practices.
The event was a great success under the leadership and patronage of Senior Professor S P Premaratne, Director of HRDC, with the valuable guidance of Mr P M K Subaweera, the Project Manager of HRDC and the Senior Assistant Registrar of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. HRDC continues to play a vital role in enhancing professional development and capacity building through its diverse range of training programs and workshops.
