UOC celebrates 73rd Independence Day
Sri Lanka marked its 73rd Independence Day on 4th February 2021 and the University of Colombo’s ceremonial function of the Independence Day of Sri Lanka was held at the College House premises on 5th February 2021. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chandrika Wijeyaratne, the Registrar Mr KAS Edward and followed by attending Deans, Directors, and key Academic and Administrative officers of the university. As a step towards promoting environmental conservation, the following fruit trees were planted at the university premises on the same day.
