UoC becomes No. 1 among Sri Lankan universities in THE World University Rankings 2024
The Times Higher Education (THE) released its 2024 World University Rankings on September 27, 2023. This year, the overall ranking includes 1,904 institutes from around the world, and the University of Colombo is ranked 1001 – 1200th. Among the five Sri Lankan universities and one institute that were considered for the 2024 World University Rankings by analysts, the University of Colombo has secured the top position. THE’s World University Rankings are generated from five pillars, each of which represents a key area of excellence in higher education: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook.
