Undergraduate Research Symposium , Department of Geography
The Department of Geography is organized the 1st Undergraduate Research Symposium, based on the dissertations of final year undergraduates who are following the Special Degree in Geography, on 19th July 2017. The inauguration ceremony of this symposium was commenced at 8.30 a.m. in the M. B. Ariyapala Auditorium and the academic sessions were continued from 10.30 a.m. . Senior Professor Lakshman Dissanayake – Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo and Prof. Athula Ranasinghe – Dean, Faculty of Arts were graced this occasion and the Keynote Speaker was be Mr. R. P. Samarakkody – Additional Director General, Disaster Management Centre.
