Strengthening Academic Collaboration Between the University of Colombo and the University of Kerala

Professor Sabu Joseph, Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Director of the Centre for Global Academics at the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, India, visited the University of Colombo on 11 March 2026. During his visit, he held discussions with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Professor Ranjana U K Piyadasa, and the Head of the Department of Environmental Technology, Professor Chamini K Hemachandra.
He also engaged in productive discussions with academic staff members of the Department of Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, focusing on strengthening academic collaboration, research partnerships, and knowledge exchange between the two institutions. Professor Joseph delivered a technical session on Groundwater management in dry areas for the students, sharing his expertise and insights in the field of environmental science.
