University of Colombo and Sri Lanka Police Forge Strategic Partnership for Institutional Development and Digital Transformation

In a significant step towards advancing the institutional development of the Sri Lanka Police, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Vice Chancellor recently held a meeting to discuss academic and professional collaboration on 16 December 2025 at the College House premises. The meeting focused on securing expert support for the development of a Corporate Plan and Strategic Plan, along with advancing planning and digitalisation initiatives for the Sri Lanka Police.
The discussion emphasised technology-enabled governance, enhanced service delivery, and organisational modernisation. Experts from the Faculty of Management & Finance, the Faculty of Law, and the University of Colombo School of Computing also contributed to the discussions. The discussions highlighted the University’s strong commitment to leveraging its academic expertise in support of national priorities and public sector transformation.
