HRDC Hosts Workshop on Leveraging Modern AI and IT Tools
The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) hosted a workshop on “Leveraging Modern AI and IT Tools” for academic staff, administrative staff, and academic support staff. The sessions were held on June 17th, June 20th, and July 1st, 2025, at Senate Hall, College House, with a total of 85 participants.
Dr Uthayasanker Thayasivam, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, served as the resource person for the event, which was coordinated by Mr S.J. Francis. The workshop offered hands-on experience with modern AI tools and demonstrated their practical applications across various academic and administrative fields. Participants gained valuable insights into how AI and IT tools can be effectively integrated into their daily tasks to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and innovation.
