Department of Finance Partners with Senfin Securities to Strengthen Capital Market Education
The Department of Finance of the Faculty of Management and Finance entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Senfin Securities Limited on 11th August 2025 at the College House premises. The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, along with representatives from Senfin Securities and the Faculty of Management and Finance.
This strategic partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practice in the field of capital markets. Through the MoU, students of the Department of Finance will gain access to a wide range of opportunities, including internships and trainee placements to gain hands-on industry exposure, guest lectures and workshops conducted by capital market experts, access to market data and research collaborations to support academic projects, and site visits and training sessions to enhance practical learning. By bringing together academic expertise and industry insights, this collaboration is set to provide our students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in the financial sector, while also paving the way for joint initiatives that benefit both the university community and the capital market industry.
