Consumer Rights Day 2018
The Department of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law celebrated ‘Consumer Rights Day’ on the 23rd May 2018. The Department organized Cartoon, Documentary Video and Placard competitions among students offering Business Law, focusing on the theme ‘Regulation of Cosmetics in Sri Lanka’. Ms W I Nanayakkara – the Dean, Dr Shanthi Segarajasingham – Head of Department of Commercial Law, Ms Samantha Karunaratne – Deputy Director of Consumer Affairs Authority, Mr Ranjith Vithanage – Chairman of The National Consumer Rights Movement and Ms Aparajitha Ariyadasa Attorney-at-Law addressed the students and invitees. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
