Certificate Awarding Ceremony and Inauguration of Certificate Course in HRM & Business Management - Faculty of Arts

The Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Arts organized a Certificate Awarding Ceremony and inaugurated the Certificate Course in Human Resource Management & Business Management – Batch II on September 19, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the New Arts Theatre.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour at the event was the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu. Other distinguished guests included Professor Nihal Padmasiri, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit at the University, Mr Saman Wanasinghe, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit, Faculty of Arts, Mr Dhanuka Liyanagamge, the Director of the National Enterprise Development Authority, Dr Rajitha Silva, Senior Student Counsellor of the university, Heads of Departments of the Faculty, and university staff members. The parents of the students who received certificates also attended the event.
Certificates were awarded to 129 students from the first batch who successfully completed the three-month-long Certificate Course in Human Resource Management and Business Management offered free of charge by the Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Arts. Additionally, certificates were presented to 44 undergraduates of the faculty who participated in the three-day entrepreneurship workshop organized by the Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Arts in collaboration with the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA).
Furthermore, the inauguration of the Certificate Course in Human Resource Management and Business Management for the new batch of 150 students also took place on the same day.
