Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Delegation Visits the University of Colombo

A delegation from the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, Thailand, visited the University of Colombo on 12 January 2026. The delegation included Mr Paisan Rupanichkij, Prof. Piyajit Watcharasit, Prof. Charnsak Thongsornkleeb, Prof. Mayuree Fuanthong, and Ms Peeranan Booranasophone. They were accompanied by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo.
The delegation met with Prof. Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Dr Iroja Caldera, Director of the International Office, to discuss opportunities for mutual collaboration. During the meeting, forthcoming postgraduate scholarship opportunities for young academic staff members of the University of Colombo were discussed, particularly in the fields of biological sciences, chemical sciences, and environmental toxicology.
