Delegates from the Regional Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar 2025 Visit the University of Colombo

Delegates from the Regional Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar 2025 for Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific visited the University of Colombo on 19 November 2025. The delegation was accompanied by Ms Sasika Liyanage, Director of Overseas Education at the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education. They were formally welcomed by Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo.
Professor P R N Fernando presented an overview of the completed Erasmus+ projects at the University, emphasising their impact on academic development and international collaboration. Professor S T Thoradeniya outlined the university’s sustainability initiatives, highlighting its commitment to environmentally responsible practices. The delegates expressed appreciation for the University’s achievements, particularly its proactive role in promoting sustainability-focused initiatives.
The event was organised by the International Office as part of its ongoing efforts to support internationalisation and strengthen global partnerships.
