Professor Indika Karunathilake Elected President-Elect of APACPH
Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University, has been elected as the President-Elect of the Asia Pacific Academic Consortium of Public Health (APACPH) during the General Assembly and election of office bearers held on 4th November 2025 at Mae Fa Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand. APACPH is the largest public health academic organisation in the Asia Pacific, with 59 member institutions, including some of the top-ranked universities in the region. Professor Karunathilake is the first Sri Lankan ever to be appointed to this prestigious position.
