
Flavours of Faith ’25: Celebrating Cultural Harmony and Unity
The Muslim Majlis of the University of Colombo hosted its annual flagship event, “Flavours of Faith ’25”, on 3rd July 2025 at the Yellows Area, Faculty of Arts premises. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University, who honoured the occasion as Chief Guest. “Flavours of Faith” is a unique initiative aimed at fostering cultural harmony, creativity, and community spirit among the university’s diverse student body.
This year’s event featured vibrant stalls showcasing traditional cuisine, arts, and cultural displays, celebrating the richness of various faiths and cultures. The Vice Chancellor’s presence added significant value, inspiring organisers and participants while underscoring the importance of unity and inclusivity within the university community. The event brought together students, faculty, and visitors in a lively, welcoming atmosphere that celebrated togetherness, respect, and diversity, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to inclusion.
