Korean Cultural Day 2024 – Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA)

On August 22, 2024, the Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA) hosted its Second Annual Korean Cultural Day in the Faculty of Graduate Science Auditorium. The event, which featured traditional performances, a South Korean language competition, and various interactive activities, was highlighted by the presence of H.E. Miyon Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka.

Organized by IHRA’s Korean Language Program students and led by Ms Seka Weerasinghe, External Programme Coordinator, the event showcased contributions from Sri Lankan university and school students. Over 200 attendees, including Senior Professor (Chair) H D Karunaratne, Vice Chancellor of the University, and Professor W Sagara Chandrasekara, the Director of IHRA, enjoyed a day of cultural exchange and celebration. The Korean Cultural Day provided a platform for students to express their interest in Korean culture and language, making it a significant event for both participants and spectators.
