Invitation to apply: ACU Supporting Research Community Steering Committee
The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) has requested a senior member of staff from Research management and administration at the University of Colombo to apply to join the Steering Committee of the ACU’s Supporting Research Community. The ACU’s Supporting Research Community is a forum for all staff at ACU member universities who are involved in supporting the research process, including research management and administration, research impact and uptake, and library services. The community brings together colleagues from across the Commonwealth and creates a space for sharing knowledge, experience, and good practice, discussing issues and solutions, showcasing ideas, and discovering potential avenues for collaboration. The purpose of this Community is to support and build the capacity of research offices and staff in member universities, drawing on the ACU’s track record within the field of research management and uptake.
Steering Committee members help set the vision, strategic direction, and delivery plans for the Community, as well as promote the Community in their regions. Steering Committee members will be required to attend online meetings two-three times a year and the first task offered to new members will be to take part in the selection committee for the ACU’s Early Career Training Grants taking place in the week commencing 14 December. If any colleagues from the University are interested in being considered for this important role, we request that they please submit expressions of interest form, attaching their current CV and letter of support from your university’s Vice-Chancellor (or equivalent) by Monday 16 November.
